Aegis and Ages

Literally AGES,since my last update.
A long time and even longer experiences to share.
A'right first up.last week I went to Islamabad with my schools sports contingent for our annual sports fixtures.I was the reporter and I kept on writing everything even the most minuscule of things. In a 3 days trip I managed like,30 pages!
:P
It was exhilarating. The experience! We had three matches,
1.Basketball
2.Football
3.Cricket.

 FIXTURE WITH HEAD START SCHOOL

We went to Islamabad and resided in the Allama Iqbal Hostel.
The rooms were neat, with 2 beds and cupboards each. Our meals were in a gargantuan mess with self-service.
(The line was MILES Looong!)
The first match of the fixture was a spicy thriller of a basketball match.I was the commentator-cum-reporter,writing fervishly all the action that enrolled on in the game.First few quarters were dominated by CBS but then  HS fought back hard.We got a lot of fouls and bumps and our main players
Saffi-ullah Babur,Rehan(Capt) and Imran were sent out of the match.By the time our new players got used to the ball, the Ref whistled thrice and the Hamidi Hall was full of pandemonium by the HS supporters.

Head Start draws first blood

So out of three matches we lost the 1st,meaning the next two were a must win.
Later on that evening, there was a WAR in the Jinnah Stadium with the cannon being the football.Cbstians marched to the Jinnah Stadium with do-or-die on their lips.
This was the critical moment of the fixture and an Everest to climb for the football Captain Majid Khan.
As soon as the whistle blew, both sides started the assault.
The first half was eventful as both teams attempted to score goals. The HS players were were very mature and penetrating their defenses was no easy task.
The attacked as well and they missed a huge chance when keeper Waqas was out of the D and an HS attacker missed the goal barely.

We breathed again and thanked God.

With determination(and a lot of threatening by the coach) we started the 2nd half.
All this time I was commentating with Taimoor Imran.

Sajawal Bashir was substituted in for Usama Khalid and in mere minutes he assisted the ball to the captain Majid who shot it swinging away from the keeper into the goal.

YEAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It was as if the stadium was on fire!
Majid danced with his fingers pointing heavenwards he ran like the wind!
19 mins later the whistle blew, indicating the end and we all rushed in to throw him up on our shoulders, the Hero who won us the sports match

CBS  HS

   1   -   0!

Cricket match was last on the list.We were equal with one game won by each team.
The next day,we went to Shalimar Cricket Ground in Rawalpindi for the last and deciding match.
Our cricket kits are like the Pakistan Team's silver practice kit, whereas theirs were like Zimbabwe's red ones.

They won the toss and chose to bowl. A deathly mistake.
Openers
Arslan Malik
and
Inam-ullah Niazi
Smacked boundary upon boundary.
Arslan Malik kept the strike and got to his 50 in less then 10 overs!
The opening stand was 100 plus!
A.M top scored with 88 off 66 balls.
Niazi got out on 50.
The middle order batsmen came and struck boundary upon boundary. It was raining fours and sixes! We had a lot of wickets in hand, and a great opening partnership. We did the only   and propelled the total to a mammoth 276!

We had our break and ate Server Rice.(scrumptious! :P )
In the next innings,Rana Salman knocked down the 1st wicket when the score was just 28.
And the bowlers kept on taking wickets at regular intervals.

When they were going really well Inam-ullah Niazi took a blinder of a catch at the most difficult fielding position, point.

Abbas Khan Swati from HeadStart strucked well timed boundaries for his 42.
The rest went cheaply.
The last wicket fell in the last over bowled by skipper Raheel Haider.
They tried to take a double off a misfield but M.Fayyaz was dead accurate as he ran him out.

CBS WON THE MATCH BY 100 RUNS.

                        AND THE FIXTURE BY

                                        2-1!!!
